The Grans were asked to make the canopy and bottom border to complement the grassy meadow supplied by @rochfordgardens. It’s BEEn a busy weekend! This little bee made by one of our lovely Crafty Critters group is buzzing off to the Birmingham NEC this week. Cradling a little blue and yellow friend it will be raffled for the Ukraine Appeal.

What an astonishing day that was. We were truly ho

What an astonishing day that was. We were truly honoured to be asked to create a float for the Worshipful Company of Wax Chandlers. After working on it for months it was a thrill to see it in motion pulled and flanked by @ecargobikes fabulously decked out in beekeeping suits. Hives were supplied by @ehthornebeehives and the amazing candles made by Bromley Youth Group JustB who also walked with the float.

Channelling my inner Blue Peter today making beeswax candles out of cardboard, paint and bubble wrap! I can still remember the sheer joy of making Dougal from a Fairy Liquid bottle and lots of white wool when I was 9! Not sure why white but the Magic Roundabout wasn’t broadcast in the U.K. in colour until 1970 even though it was made in colour from series 2. Yarn has been a thing for a while!

Happy New Year to one and all! New year, new project! These fabulous bees arrived anonymously just before Christmas. If they were yours then please let us know. We will still be promoting the importance of pollinators during the summer working with the Wax Chandlers Livery Company where we picked up the DEFRA award on behalf of @parkview4u. Our new project called In Our Hearts will focus on dementia and raising awareness of this debilitating disease which affects so many. Let’s hear it for the girls!! So lovely to have Julie and Rachel from @parkview4u join us in Birmingham today on our last day @thecraftshows Creative Craft Show. We have had such an amazing year and loved every minute of it. Map and all remaining bees have now flown off with them to Lytham where they will be sold to add to our total which has now exceeded £12k by quite some margin!! 🧡🐝🖤😍
